Baseball earns 2nd straight WThursday, April 23, 2015 The Newington baseball team has been trying to get its season going in small steps. The first one for the Indians was to win two games in a row for the first time this year, a goal which could be achieved with a road win at Hall Wednesday. Mission accomplished. Brett Frank was 3-for-4 with a double and Nick Casasanta had an RBI double as Newington downed Hall 6-4 in West Hartford. Ben Maycock had the save for Newington, which moved to 3-2. “To put two wins together, that’s what you want to do, stack them on top of each other when you can,” Newington coach Ben Alaimo said. “It puts us closer to the goal, which is eight wins, but that’s a long way away.”
