Cromwell 2, Newington 1: Bryant Morander homered, but Newington made four errors and let another game get away late to fall to -12.

“The pitching has been solid, but our defense has let us down in a few spots,” Newington coach Ben Alaimo said.

Newington will have to be sharp to beat Southington in a rivalry game Wednesday.
